Gopichand is one of the competent action heroes of Tollywood. He has given power packed performances right from beginning of his career and took up an adventure subject like Saahasam last year. Now the actor is all set to entertain the audience with his new film Loukyam releasing tomorrow. Here is an iQlik exclusive chitchat with the talented actor:

Please tell us about your film Loukyam..
Loukyam is a pure family entertainer. The film has its fun elements along with intelligent mind game. In fact we blended different genres together for this film.
What do you think is the best aspect about Loukyam?
The main reason why I draw a comparison between Loukyam and Attarintiki Daaredhi is because- Pawan got a huge break with it and in the same way I would get for this. I am extremely confident about the story. I was told only the hero introduction scene which made me very impressed and sign up for the film. Character actors like Brahmi, Prudhvi, Chandramohan also have good roles and ample amount of scope.
Please tell us about your working experience with Kona Venkat..
He made a significant contribution to the story. Kona garu’s expertise became crucial for the film. I feel extremely happy to have associated with him.
Did you see any change in your director Srivass’s approach towards Loukyam compared to your earlier film Lakshyam?
Srivass was initially little confused while making Lakshyam. But now his confidence levels are high and he has good clarity of thought.
How was it working with a comedy star like Brahmanandam?
I always wanted to act in a significant role along with Brahmi. Luckily I got the chance through this film. He has helped me a lot during the filming and his role is quite crucial in the plot of the story as well.
Please share your working experience with Rakul Preet Singh..
She is a vivacious person. Rakul’s presence would help a lot for the film’s success.
What was the idea behind using Manam poster for a comedy sequence?
That was a new comedy element idea which was used. For more of it, watch the film!
What do you think about current day films which are having mixture of two or more previously released film stories?
I don’t think we need new stories to impress the audience. It is the presentation which matters the most and where novelty should be shown.
How was it acting onscreen after your marriage?
I look at film as a film always and hence I did not feel much difference.
Tell us about the good memories you have from your earlier films like Saahasam and Okadunnadu..
Saahasam has give me complete satisfaction as an actor. My overseas market has improved with it. Okadunnadu lacked commercial punch but still it was a good film.
Upcoming films?
My film with B.Gopal garu is halted temporarily due to financial crisis. But half the shooting has been completed. It would be hitting the sets soon. Another film with UV creations banner will be releasing in January.
