We may not be sure where the first Telugu film (Mookie/Talkie) was shot but we are very sure that it was definitely not shot on Mount Everest, planet Earth’s highest mountain.

In fact, very few films like Everest (1998), Beyond the Edge (Documentary film) (2014) were made on Mt. Everest and a 3D Adventure thriller titled Everest is scheduled to release next year. Besides these, there are hardly any Telugu films that explored the location much. And not many filmmakers nurtured the idea of shooting on the highest mountain on the planet. But if our inside sources are to be believed, Nani’s upcoming film Evade Subramanyam is going to have a shooting schedule planned on Mount Everest very soon [Yes we are sure we are not talking about Everest Masala Powder].

Though the details of the shooting schedule is yet to be known, given the fact that the film is being produced by a biggie like Ashwini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies and directed by a debutante like Naga Ashwin (protégé of Shekar Kammula), this news is truly believable and exciting. The film was initially scheduled for a release in December but now it is pushed to January 2015.

Hope we get to see some exotic locales in and around Everest and wishing Nani to hit the purple patch with this Evade Subramanyam.
