When a catastrophe or calamity occurs, there is a voluntary response which comes from the film fraternity and that makes a huge difference to the common people. Whenever a celebrity indulges in a noble deed, it becomes the cue of inspiration for regular public to come forward and do their bit.
When Vizag was battered by Hudhud cyclone, Tollywood came forward with ‘Memu Saitham’ initiative and it was a grand success. Few add-on initiatives are still happening to collect funds for the flood relief. Now, there is news that Tollywood is once again gearing up for another initiative.
This time it is not for us but for our neighbours Pakistan. Apparently, the recent massacre that took place at the Army school in Peshawar has drawn strong reactions from Tollywood celebs. They are also planning to come up with a peace rally. If this happens, it would become international news and it would be a very good gesture. Irrespective of political rivalry, terrorism is terrorism and kids are kids so Tollywood is reportedly coming forward to express its solidarity. Way to go!
