Whenever you hear a big banner announcing its film, it has always to do with a big budget flick comprising of a star hero and we are talking nothing less than Rs 35 crores and above at stake. But Tollywood has tasted some doses of reality in terms of cine business and now the big banners are changing their strategies.
It is being reported that the big names like Vyjayanti Movies, Annapurna Studios, PVP Pictures and others have begun focusing on small budget movies. Inside reports reveal they don’t want to miss the kick in small budget movie business and have figured out that with some sensible investment and good subject, the profit margins are high.
In a big budget movie, the stakes are high and the risk factor is equally high. In the current market situations, the odds are going against the big banners. As a result, they are heading towards the small budget projects. This is actually a blessing in disguise for the medium and small segment because a thrust from a big banner makes a vast difference to the total output and business performance of these films.
