The concept of having awards may be about providing entertainment and a feast of glamour to the regular public but it matters a lot to the artists and technicians who gain their share of recognition. In that aspect, the Gulf Andhra Music Awards (GAMA) aimed to honor music directors and lyricists is indeed a great initiative.
Now, the inside news is that the organizers have decided to spread their arms and expand the domain of awards. They want to convert it into Gulf Andhra Movie Awards wherein they would be getting Tollywood and Kollywood together. Inside reports say they want to conduct it in two phases.
While the music awards will take place in Dubai in the month of February, the awards event for the movies is expected to take place in April. The concentration of Telugus and Tamils in the Gulf region is quite high and it would be a festival for them to see their favorite heroes and heroines. Best of luck to GAMA!
