Cricket and Cinema are always full of surprises! Things have really gone topsy-turvy in this current of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) but the most deserving teams have reached the finals. The new hot favorite of CCL5, Telugu Warriors have marched into the finals with an easy win over Mumbai Heroes in the Semi Finals on Jan 30.
The Mumbai Heroes have set quite an easy target of 141 runs to chase. This was indeed a cake walk for Telugu Warriors who registered a historic win over Karnataka Bulldozers chasing 188 runs. Prince with an unbeaten 63 (53) with 5 boundaries ably supported by the storming innings of Sudhir Babu (55 in 33 balls with 3 boundaries and 3 sixes), could take Telugu Warriors into the finals.
Today, Telugu Warriors will take on Chennai Rhinos in its home ground Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Hyderabad) from 3PM onwards. This is the second time TW has made it into the finals and it is playing against the toughest team and CCL champions Chennai Rhinos. So, naturally Telugu Warriors fans are bothered if TW can continue the success streak and emerge as the new champions of CCL.
