Tiger is an upcoming romantic entertainer starring Sundeep Kishan and Rahul Ravindran in lead roles. Run Raja Run fame Seerat Kapoor will be seen as the female lead for this flick. Music for the film is composed by S.S.Thaman and here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The album begins on a groovy note with Samayaa sung with the laid back vocals of Thaman himself and Anudeep. The casual style of guitar strums and neat chord progression adds much to the value of the composition. Lyrics by Ananth Sriram are introspective and the track gathers pace with good live drumming and decent bass work. The brilliant electric guitar solo in the second interlude stands as a highlight.

It is time for a thumping dance number Vaddura Mama with power packed vocals by Nivas. The track oscillates with folk and modern rock flavours in right proportions. The rhythm is essentially raw and indigenous suiting the ambience. In short, the track has the typical Thaman mark with respect to presentation.

Love Story Cheppana is a moody solo sung well by Deepak which progresses in a story telling fashion. The steady rhythm takes the front seat and Ananth Sriram’s funky lyrics do the job perfectly. The interludes are breezy with impressive chord progression. However, the track doesn’t have a counter point for better appeal.

The album gathers pace with Hey Tiger with House Mix rhythm section and recurring bass work. However, the presentation is very muchsimilar to the theme track of Vijay’s action flick Kaththi. Despite live drumming and good sound production, the track fails to impress.

Tiger Theme paves the way for the album’s finale with increased tempo and superior mixing of percussions. The ghatam and modern keypads offer a fun blend to hear. The track attempts to create an ominous ambience and yet gives the de-ja-vu of theme track from Vijay’s Kaththi.

Verdict:
Tiger is a fair album from Thaman. The album has neat presentation and good sound production values. However, it lacks the trademark Thaman’s musical punch for the audience to rejoice.
