She was introduced to showbiz world as a child artist through a Tamil film called Maccharekthe directed by popular director P.Pullaiah. After acting in various films as a child artist as well as teenager, she was first seen as a female lead in B.N.Reddy’s Rangula Raatnam. She married Superstar Krishna later and shared screen as well as personal presence with him. She helped Krishna in filmmaking arena and later turned to a director herself thereby getting Guinness Book of World Record for a female director who made maximum number of films!

She is none other than formerly Neeraja who turned to Vijayanirmala and this book deals with her colorful journey in becoming a successful film personality. The book consists of impressive pictures and comprehensive details about her films by author Vinayaka Rao. This interesting book has eleven chapters and explores the life of Vijayanirmala as a person, filmmaker, her individuality and her mastery. It would be a useful book for those who aspire to research on Telugu Cinema. The author’s effort in bringing all the crucial aspects of Vijayanirmala in one book is indeed appreciable. However, it would be have been nice if the films Panduranga Mahatyam and Bhookailas were included in the list of films provided.
