You don’t need any introduction or prompting to name the two biggest epics of the Hindu religion. They are Ramayana and Mahabharata. Over many decades, different filmmakers have tried to pick chapters from these two and made films out of it. Now, another name has joined that list of attempting for a movie.

He is none other than the eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma but then his perspective on this is going to be quite radical as expected. Well, RGV has recently read the book ‘Idhandi Mahabharatam’ written by Muppaala Ranganayakamma and is completely stumped by her point of view. Well, she has written the entire epic in a rather satirical manner with loads of practicality.

In the past, RGV had announced a project called Ramayanam which was meant to be a social adaptation of the tale. While that has not taken any shape, RGV has now announced he is keen to do a movie based on Idhandi Mahabharatam. Let us wait to see if this is just one of those usual hyper tweets or whether RGV will seriously take it up as a project.
