If you are familiar with the business of cinema then you know for a fact that the biggest evil eating away the revenue is piracy. Though filmmakers have been moving heaven and earth to curb it, the efforts are not bearing the required result. However, here is one concept which may be a potential solution.

Apparently, a theatre by name Shanmuga in Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu has come up with one proposal. All you have to do is pay Rs 1000 and with that, whatever film releases in that theatre they can come and watch once. This package is available for one year from purchase.

This is not a new model because there are few theatre chains which follow this in the UK. In a way, this will ensure piracy will be curbed to a large extent. At the same time, it is important to have more theatres which would bring a barrier to piracy. For the moment, this concept of Rs 1000 for an year is actually good which would be a win-win situation for the theatre owners and the ticket buyers. And if the demand increases then the threat due to piracy will also come down significantly.
