Mahesh is one of the few actors who are successfully carrying their father’s legacy forward. He is considered as the best successor of his father Super star Krishna in all aspects. With back to back blockbusters, he earned the status of ‘Superstar’ and has turned one of the highest paid actors in Telugu cinema as well. But both of his earlier films, 1- Nenokkadine and Aagadu remained box office duds. Irrespective of their box office performance, with a budget of above Rs 60 crores, both the films are considered to be over budgeted and have unarguably incurred huge losses to the producers.

Keeping the interest of the producer, Mahesh has apparently taken a strict decision to cut down his remuneration. Mahesh is also considering the story and the budget shed upon the storyline as well. This was confirmed by none other than Mahesh Babu Father Superstar Krishna. Mahesh can always have things go according to his whims and fancies but he has once again proved that he is a producer-friendly hero and a true Superstar who cares for his industry.

Mahesh’s upcoming Sreemanthudu (tentatively titled) under the direction of Koratala Siva is shaping up as a pure family entertainer on the designed budget lines.
