We all had an overview about the film making process that a producer is the key person for any movie. He will be the source of funding for the movie. Now the trend of production changed and a new system of ‘Crowd Funding’ has come into existence. The concept of Crowd funding & Independent Cinema has been quite popular throughout the world barring few Indian languages. Telugu is one among them and we haven’t come across such genre of films in Tollywood until now. But, with a new initiative from a bunch of young films makers, we are going to experience the magic of Indie films and that too the project will be a crowd-funded one.

Two friends and passionate chaps Rohit Mishra & Challa Srikanth have written a story called Vasham (titled as ‘The Book’ in English). The talented young aspirants did not roam around the industry cursing anyone but indeed resorted to the concept of crowd funding. They have kept their story online open to read and have luckily got few positive responses and Vasham team could raise a fund of about Rs 15 lakhs till now through the crowd funding process.

A fresh thought and passionate attempt always gains attention and encouragement as well. So Vasham team could gain an appreciation and encouragement from prominent film personalities like Manchu Manoj, Lakshmi Manchu, Sundeep Kishan, Vennela Kishore and Allu Sirish has personally met the crew and wished them all the success.
