You know very well that for a film to be successful, the onscreen chemistry between the hero and heroine must be good. Similarly, for a song to become a chartbuster and score with the people, the mental chemistry between the music director and lyricists must be good. But what if the music director takes the role of a lyricist?

This is the discussion happening in the filmnagar circles right now because the dynamic music director Devi Sri Prasad seems to be getting serious about songwriting and giving a tough fight to the lyricists. He wrote three songs in the latest release S/o Satyamurthy and the lyrics got good response.

The film has a total of 7 songs wherein 2 are written by Srimani, 1 by Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry and 1 by Ramajogayya Sastry. But the majority is penned by DSP and even the quality is also very nice. Prior to this, he wrote ‘Ninnu chudagaane…’ in Attarintiki Daredi and even Sirivennela also praised him. Best of luck to all the lyricists then!
