Call it adopting the latest formula or a mere herd mentality but then whenever a film becomes a hit, many try to copy the same genre and come up with a series of movies with the same flavor. And right now, Tollywood seems to be going through a phase of crime comedies which revolve around robberies.
The latest in that list happens to be the forthcoming release Dongata. Those who saw the posters and the teasers feel this is yet another robbery oriented movie and it would carry the same elements of thrills and humor. The film is produced by the elegant celebrity Lakshmi Manchu.
She is also playing the lead role in it and this is being helmed by N Vamsi Krishna, a protege of the maverick Gautham Menon. Another version is that this is not about robbery but it is about kidnapping. Well, the film is due for release in the month of May so the suspense will be revealed at that time.
