Mosagallaku Mosagadu is an upcoming romantic entertainer starring the youthful pair Sudhir Babu and Nandini. Music for the film is composed by Manikanth Kadri and here is an iQlik exclusive music review of the album:

The effervescent album begins with a title song Mosagallaku Mosagadu sung by the power packed Baba Seghal comprising of good rhythm section, breezy riffs and impressive interludes. Sree Mani’s lyrics are interesting and make the listener look for more fun moments. The overall mood the song creates is quite commendable. The neat usage of trance, Hip-hop and street style Rap is the highlight.

It is time to take a step back in pace with a feel good melody Naavadai sung by the sweet sounding Chinmayee and Nakul Abhayankar. The lilting acoustic guitar, mellowed rhythm base follows the lead rightfully and Krishna Kanth’s introspective lyrics add an additional garnishing level. The composer adds the refreshing flavor of Carnatic Raaga Abheri to give a classy touch to a modern track.

Hello Hello is a funky number sung by Karthik and Supriya Lohith with remarkable funny moments. With a mild 80s retro flavor interspersed with contemporary sounds, this is an enjoyable fare with strong interludes as well. Karthik who usually sings feel good melodies performs par excellence in this contrasting number which has more vocal range.

The album gets a mass touch with Oho Sundari comprising of a catchy harmonium prelude and Hip-Hop beats. The laid back nature of the composition fares well with occasional traces of Carnatic Raaga Abheri once again. In short, the track is like a balanced fusion between classicism and funkiness.

Oho Sundari (Remix) has additional percussion layers and Rap vocals which increase the fun factor by tenfold. The digitalized voice of Naveen suits well for the contemporary remix version and the composer does impressive mixing to make it an enjoyable listen. There is an additional percussion layer which gives the folk dimension to the track.

Surprisingly, the album gets a devotional touch with a short prayer Rama Bhadrayya sung with great vigor and passion by Sooraj Santhosh. One can hear the traces of Raaga Dharmavathi in it as well.

The album reaches a finale with Call for Mosagallaku Mosagadu- a typical theme track having Cowboy styled trumpets, gripping rap section and powerful electric guitars.

Verdict:
Mosagallaku Mosagadu is a thoroughly enjoyable fare. Manikanth Kadri stirs an album which has freshness, fun and good balance between funkiness and classcism.

Rating: 3.25/5
