The plight of a female lead in an ever competing film industry is always questionable. Unless the actress is exceptionally talented with the right balance of glamour and performance, it is very difficult for her to sustain in this bottleneck environment. There is tremendous pressure to deliver the best with every film and at the same time satiate the interests of class and mass audience! After Soundarya and Trisha, there is one female lead who could consistently do commercial films along with versatile roles in amazing ease. She is none other than Anushka Shetty!

This lovely actress began her career in a glamorous role opposite King Nagarjuna in Super, and right from then she always surprised the audiences with different roles. Her career reached new heights with Kodi Ramakrishna's stunning marvel Arundhati which brought back warrior princess in Tollywood. After nearly six years, she got the golden chance of acting as Devasena in Rajamouli's Baahubali. Along with this amazing role, she also bagged the valuable role of Rani Rudramadevi in Gunasekhar's magnum opus with the same title. Just when Anushka's fans are so delighted to see her in such historic films, here is another brilliant project which is taking up!

Anushka will also be featured as the Nizam Queen in Bhagmati directed by Ashok of Pilla Zamindar fame. Sources say that Sweety has given her indefinite call sheets for this prestigious project! It would be delightful to know that Anushka has become the first South Indian herione to take about Rs 2.75 crores as remuneration for this historic film. Of course, given her demand and commitment towards cinema, Anushka entirely deserves this and we wish all success for her upcoming Rudhramadevi and hope she shines as Bhagmathi as well.
