Venky eyes on Big B's Hit film?

Victory Venkatesh is one big star in Tollywood who was always on the upfront in doing experiments, trendsetting subjects and remakes as well. In his career span of over two decades, he adorns a huge success percentile with remakes.

Remakes are usually believed to be tough as one cannot recreate the magic of the original but somehow Venky managed the art and bag commercial success too. Even when his individual market has taken a nosedive, Venky did not apprehend to remake Malayalam super hit Drishyam and once the film was a hit in Telugu, Kamal Haasan’s Tamil version and Ajay Devgn’s Hindi version also materialized. Now the senior star is eyeing upon yet another hit Hindi film.

Of late, Bollywood has produced some versatile script driven films and Piku is one such gem of a film. Though it stars some big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukon and Irfan Khan, it is a genuine light hearted film where content wins the hearts. This film turned out to be a sleeper hit and as per latest reports, Venky is looking forward to remake the film in Telugu. Already speculations are rife that Venky might reprise the role of Big B Amitabh Bachchan while star heroine Samantha might step in the shoes of Deepika Padukone.

Venky is gearing up for his next film under his own production house Suresh Productions under the direction of director Vijay Bhaskar (of Nuvvu Naaku Nachavv, Malleshwari and Masala fame) and this is touted be nothing else but Piku remake. However an official confirmation is still awaited on this.

But Venky’s earlier Bollywood remake Masala under Vijay Bhaskar’s under has bombed at the box-office. So we need to see how would this remake turn out to be!
