Remakes are the current norm in Tollywood as they guarantee returns because of their success in the original lands. Many films became even more successful than the original because the ready made script gets better changes and improvisations. The world of Telugu Cinema has witnessed many hits in the form of remakes and it has become a huge trend now.
Recently, Ram Charan has opted to make the anticipated Thani Oruvan remake which will be directed by Kick fame Surender Reddy. Now his Dad Chiranjeevi seems to be following his son in this regard! When the attempt to remake Kaththi didn’t work out, now the Megastar is looking for another popular Tamil film which is making waves.
Handsome Kollywood hero Ajith’s recent release Vedalam has been commercially quite successful in the recent releases front. Sources say that popular producer A.M.Ratnam contacted Chiranjeevi regarding remake of this flick in Telugu. The story apparently suits Chiranjeevi’s star image and it is said that he is planning to watch it and take a decision soon.
Interestingly, Young Tiger Jr.NTR also is in this race as he already watched the film and seriously considering to remake it in Telugu. Apparently, the Young Tiger was impressed with the sister sentiment which the film had and now we will have to see which of these equally talented actors get the chance to remake it!
