Krishashtami is an upcoming action entertainer starring Sunil and Nikki Galran in lead roles. The film is directed by Vasu Varma of Josh fame and music is composed by Dinesh. One of the ace producers of Tollywood- Dil Raju produced this flick.

The album gets off the mark with a racy introduction song Gokula Thilaka sung by Revanth and penned by Ananth Sriram. The gradual progress of trance beats and stylish presentation is a huge asset for the track. Ananth Sriram’s impressive lyrics about the greatness of India add a philosophical bent for the song. The interludes have a traditional touch with Krishnam Kalaya Sakhi- a traditional classical dance number.

The melodious touch occurs with Love is True sung by the talented singer Adnan Sami. The stylish guitar strums and peppy lyrics by Ananth Sriram go hand in hand. The track is totally groovy and enjoyable for its freshness and catchy tune.

Bava Bava Panneeru is a funky duet sung by Dhanunjay and Ramya Behara. The folk style lyrics by Varikuppala Yadgiri deserves a special mention. Ramya Behara’s husky tone is perfectly balanced by Dhanunjay’s fun filled vocals. This track would find its high appeal among the mass audience as well.

The album drifts to classy mode with Nuvvu Nenu Anthe penned by legendary Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry. Ramya Behara delivers par excellence with her sweet voice and Vijay Prakash’s breezy vocals add even more vigor. This song can be termed as one of the most memorable melodies for Sunil after turning hero.

The title song Krishnashtami is downright fun filled with foot tapping rhythm and delivered well by Revanth, Noel Siyan and Rohit Paritala. Lyrics by Balaji are quite contrasting and descriptive. The song’s presentation itself is high on entertainment values.

Left o Punjabi Dressu is an outright item number with folk style tune and interestingly the song is based on Carnatic Raaga Madhyamavati with mass treatment!  Balaji’s lyrics are apt for this fun filled number which doesn’t fail to entertain.

Verdict:

Krishashtami is an enjoyable album from Dinesh which is high on commercial values. At the same time, the album has the right dose of feel good melodies as well.
