Most of you know very well that the phrase Soggade Chinni Nayana happens to be a chartbuster song during the black and white era. You also know that the film had the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao as the hero and you are not surprised it became the title for his son Nagarjuna’s film.
However, did you know that the song was actually not on ANR? Well, it was canned on Kala Vachaspati Jaggayya and the energetic Vanisri. Of course ANR is the hero and it also had the beautiful Jayalalithaa as the heroine. The song was part of the movie Aastiparulu.
The film was released in the year 1966 and till date, the song is a major craze among the song lovers. Many attribute it to ANR but it was actually Jaggayya’s song. Anyhow, the good news is, Soggade Chinni Nayana is now racing towards a big success so Nag is on cloud nine.
