After the formation of the new state of Telangana, the one word of heritage you would have heard frequently is Kakatiya. Now, the same word is getting inducted into cinema related affairs. Well, the Telangana government is preparing to give away the state’s top awards and they are named as Kakatiya Awards.
While this is good news indeed, the big question now being asked is, what about the erstwhile Nandi awards. They are asking when will Andhra Pradesh give the Nandi awards? Secondly, will it be for both the Telugu states or is it only for Andhra Pradesh.
Already the Nandi Awards is pending since the last three years and different reasons are being given for not organizing them. At the end of it, many feel the Andhra Pradesh government should give the Nandi Awards and this would be a good connect to maintain with Tollywood.
