Quite often you hear about how the creative teams of a film rack their brains just to coin a catchy and powerful title. This exercise is more when the films involve big names. But there are also instances wherein some random thought by a cast member can lead to that becoming the title.
That seems to be the story behind the film Oopiri featuring king Akkineni Nagarjuna, the sharp eyed Tamil star Karthi and the milky white beauty Tamannaah. Now, it is heard that one early morning around 4am Karthi and director Vamshi Paidipally were sitting discussing about the film.
During that instant, Karthi reportedly said “What is the meaning of Oopiri? I like this word in Telugu a lot.” And eventually he also stated that this is the right title for this movie and voila! The title got registered and locked. Karthi revealed this information in a radio interview recently.
