Pawan has already made it clear on several occasions that he has no intentions of competing with any film in terms of collections or fame, however, it is not the same to the showbiz business! There are estimates, predictions and expectations with money all over and SGS is no exception.
Inside talk is that Sardaar’s only target is Mahesh’s Srimanthudu collections (leaving aside the gigantic Baahubali). Srimanthudu earned Rs 144 Cr (gross) in its total run and now Sardaar needs to surpass this milestone to conquer the box-office and make his buyers and fans happy. SGS has already made a pre-release business of Rs 95 Cr through its pre-release (including Telugu & Hindi).
Eros International taking over the Hindi rights of Sardaar has changed the face of SGS release.If our insider sources are to be believed, SGS makers have already spent over Rs 5 Cr for promotional activities which is quite unusual for a Powerstar film.
