Going into the details, Professor Sriram who works as the visiting professor at Bengaluru IIM won the prestigious award of Karnataka State’s Sahitya Academy Award for his works on short stories called Salman Khan Difficulties. 
 
Interestingly this story revolves about a kid living in the slum who wants to see his matinee- idol Salman Khan’s movies on the release day. However due to his financial situation how he managed to watch those movies is the content of the story.
 
For this fan & hero based short story, Karnataka state awarded this prestigious award and Salman Khan was credited as one of the indirect contributors for this award.
