It can be called as a premonition but then prior to the release of the much hyped movie Sardaar Gabbar Singh, the intellectuals were sensing it is going to disappoint big time. True to their anticipation, majority of the audience ended up with swollen heads after they came out of the theatres.
Despite that, the love for power star Pawan Kalyan and the hype resulted in some respectable and sizeable openings in Tollywood. However, the situation in Bollywood has been dismal. The Hindi version released in more than 800 theatres and right from day one, the collections were drawing zeroes.
To add more salt to the wounds, the Hindi reviewers ripped apart the film mercilessly. The moment they knew it was a flop, they started making a mockery of the film and stripped it bare naked. As such, Pawan’s image works here but obviously not there. However, it was a brave attempt from PK and team.
