Predicting the fate of a film is more like rolling a ball on the roulette table because you never know which works and which doesn’t. There are instances when highly promising movies end up as disasters and movies with zero expectations end up becoming blockbusters.
In Bollywood, the film Aashiqui 2 came in with a lot of hype but the moment it released, it got average and below average talk. Many expected it would sink without a trace but then it bounced back and became a blockbuster. Some of its songs ended up becoming evergreen chartbusters.
Now, some of the trade analysts predict that the latest Telugu release Oka Manasu may experience the same. Apparently, the film has received an average response and rating but those who have seen it are quite satisfied with it. Perhaps the coming Monday will say it all.
