Telangana Govt leads Anti-Piracy Fight

Piracy has been plaguing the film industry from a long while now. There were several initiatives raised to work on curbing piracy but no significant results yet.
 
There are about 42 torrent sites, 37 streaming sites, 47 file sharing sites and 24 with a content worth of Rs 5667 Cr [according to CNBC-TV18 News report]. However, the Telangana Government has stepped forward to bring a remarkable change in the fight.
 
Going into the details, Telangana government’s new set up called Telangana Intellectual Property Crime Unit (TIPCU) that comprises of representatives from the local Police, Telugu film Chamber of Commerce, State IT Ministry, Internet Providers & other legal experts will function effectively in identifying the pirated content and aid in curbing them within no time.
 
Telugu film celebrities has welcomed this initiative by the Telangana govt and celebs like Shobhu Yarlagadda, Director Krish and Sudheer Babu welcomed this initiative and thanked IT Minister KTR & Telangana government for their effective contribution to the war on piracy.
