Chuttalabbayi is an upcoming entertainer starring Aadi, Namitha Pramodh in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by high voltage Thaman and directed by Veerabhadram Mullapudi. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The album straightaway begins in a trance mode with a Chotisi Jindagi with foot tapping rhythm and sung impressively by Thaman himself.  Varikuppala Yadagiri’s lyrics are trendy and captivating suiting the song’s theme perfectly.

Dhum Dhum is another high voltage number high on rhythm section and penned  by Rama Jogayya Sastry and sung by Sri Krishna, Deepu and Geetha Madhuri. The composition’s brilliant energy levels are consistent and interesting interludes make it an enjoyable listen. The typical bass section of Thaman’s album is clearly evident in this song.

A relaxing duet Rabba Rabba makes its presence with cool riffs and breezy vocals by Deepak and Megha. The song has a rare mix of mass appeal with classy and trendy flavors. The folk flavor starts arriving as the song progresses. The interludes are neatly woven with strings and guitar strums and saxophone as well.

The title song Chuttalabbayi arrives in a funky fashion sung by Ramyua Behara and mass song specialist Simha. Rama Jogayya Sastry’s peppy side is unleashed in this song, However, the song’s rhythm reminds the listener of Race Gurram’s Cinema Chupistha Maava.

The cool finale occurs with a party number Pe Pe Dum Dum with laid back strings and the dholak makes the right presence in exact moments. The C Major scale impact on the entire tune gives an optimistic outlook to the song and ambience.

Verdict:

Chuttalabbayi is a funky album with the right dose of solos and duets. It has all the makings of an entertainer.
