For a long time, the Filmfare awards in Mumbai dominated the cinema circuit in India whereas south cinema was rather reserved. However, one event changed the whole dynamics. We are talking about the South India International Movie Awards (SIIMA).
This brought a new identity to the entire south cinema and since then there has been no turning back. The discussion now is about the venue of the next year’s event. Talk is making rounds that it is going to take place in the land of dreams, USA.
So far, SIIMA was held in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and now there is a chance of it happening in US. Vishnu Induri is the brain behind SIIMA. He is known to be very ambitious and a good showman. If the venue is US, budget would be exorbitant because 4 industry celebs have to come so sponsors should be there. A rough estimate of 40 crores is required.
