Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s family is closely knitted with most of them associated with the world of Telugu Cinema. His wife Annapurna played a significant role in shaping up his career and hence ANR named his studios after her name.
He has two sons Venkat and Nagarjuna, and three daughters Satyavathi, Naga Suseela and Saroja. Venkat is a prominent producer and looks after “Annapurna Studios”. Nagarjuna is a successful actor in Tollywood and made his own mark as a great performer. Nagarjuna was married to Venkatesh’s sister initially and the couple has a son Naga Chaitanya who is currently one of the happening young heroes in the industry. Nagarjuna later married Tollywood actress Amala and have been together ever since.
The couple has Akhil who also acted in Telugu version of Baby’s Day Out- Sisindri and recently he gave entry as lead hero in the industry as Akhil.
Meanwhile ANR’s grandsons Sumanth (ANR’s first daughter’s Son) & Sushanth (ANR’s Second Daughter’s Son) are well noted actors and proved their worth by their films.
