The challenge you see with the Tollywood circuit is that its audience database is not as diverse as Bollywood and hence the filmmakers tend to stick to a particular template. Even the heroes don’t want to come out of the comfort zone and risk with their image.
Despite that, there are those bunch of young men who believe in doing something offbeat. The list has names of Natural Star Nani, the variety hero with baritone voice Nara Rohit, Rocking Star Manchu Manoj and mega prince Varun Tej.
Manoj is now coming up with Okkadu Migiladu and he was seen in unconventional flicks like Nenu Meeku Telusa, Prayanam and others. Varun also came with movies like Kanche, Loafer and now he is coming with Fidaa. Nani needs no introduction as his films like Gentleman, Eega, Jenda Pai Kapiraju speak for themselves. Of course, among them, Nani and Varun check for commercial elements but the likes of Rohit and Manoj are gritty souls who dare to do something different.
