After creating a lot of hype and hoopla, the film Katamarayudu has now taken the litmus test at the theatres and it appears that there is a wide gap between the expectation and reality. The openings were just about okay and graph is now dipping.
While that is the scene in the domestic market, the situation doesn’t seem to be anything different in the overseas locations i.e the US box office. Katamarayudu released in a whopping 250 screens and as per reports, the collections of the first two days came to USD 6.67 lakhs.
Considering the release, this is a poor response and the trade pundits are predicting that this movie will barely scrape through the 1 million mark. If this becomes true then the buyers in the US market would end up with huge losses. Let us see what happens.
