Legendary Poet 'Cinare' is No More

Legendary poet, lyricist, Jnanapith Award recipient Dr C Narayana Reddy (85) is no more.

C Narayana Reddy popularly known as ‘Cinare’ breathed his last this morning in Hyderabad at Care Hospitals. He is survived by four daughters & grand children.  

He started his career as a professor who worked in prestigious institutes like- Osmania University, Nizam College & Telugu University. Well, he forayed into films as a lyricist in 1962 with NTR’s Gulebakavali Katha.

In his film journey, he penned more than 3000 songs and his last contribution to the films was Jejamma song in Arundhati movie. On the other side, he increased the beauty of Telugu literature with his writings and he got Jnanpith Award for his Viswambhara in 1988.

He even got the Padma Awards- Padma Shri (1977) & Padma Bhushan (1992) from Indian Government. On this sad occasion, we iQlikmovies extends our deepest condolences to the C Narayana Reddy family and prays for his soul to rest in peace.
