The season of biopics has been on since quite a long time and it appears that this is going to become a genre by itself. What started as a trend in Bollywood has now spread to the south and we already have few biopics in the pipeline even in Tollywood circuit.
Notable among them are Mahanati, the biopic on Mahanati Savitri, a biopic on the great N T Rama Rao, one on the ace badminton veteran Pullela Gopichand. Now, a new grapevine is making rounds and this has to do with a biopic on megastar Chiranjeevi himself.
Well, it is true that there is enough material in Chiru’s life to be made as a biopic but there are those who are quashing this as a baseless rumour. Filmnagar circles also reveal senior actor Banerjee has offered to direct the biopic if given an opportunity. Well, let us wait to hear from the horse’s mouth.
