The only metric that you can use to define the success of a cinema or the film industry as a whole is the box office figures. Though it is a product of entertainment it is also a big business so box office statistics play a key role in determining the mood of the industry.
This week the box office has been quite disappointing for the Tollywood fraternity. Well, we had two releases this Friday. They are the much hyped Nakshatram from the creative genius Krishna Vamsi and Darshakudu produced by logic director Sukumar.
Many felt that there is going to be a clash at the box office but as per latest reports both the movies have turned out to be damp squibs. Last week Fidaa arrived and is still running strong. A week before that Ninnu Kori came and clicked but this week zero collections are on the cards.
