There is a major difference between declaring a film as a hit and actually collecting so much to become a hit. However, most of the times, when a big star movie comes, the makers are keen on projecting it as a superhit for various reasons. In the summer season, one of the biggies was ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ featuring superstar Mahesh Babu.

Since a long time this movie has been projected as a big hit and the team also came up with posters which said it had collected 200 crores gross. Well, the actual figures have now come out and you might be surprised to know that a total of 8 crores loss has been recorded in terms of theatrical rights.

While some distributors made profits, few were able to recover their investment. And then there were those unlucky few who ended up with sizeable losses. As for Mahesh, he managed to scrape into the safe zone but this has once again brought out the importance of making movies with sensible budgets and creating a profitable deal for everyone.
