Ever since the teaser of the movie Okkadu Migiladu got released, the viewers understood that this movie is different from the regular ones. On the other hand, Manchu Manoj's weight gain for this movie and his role being the portrayal of LTTE Prabhakaran are the major interesting points. After crossing so many hurdles, the movie hit the theaters today. Here is the review of Okkadu Migiladu.
Okkadu Migiladu starts with serial suicides of three women from a university. In this frame of context, one of the students Surya(Manchu Manoj) starts a strike demanding for the justice. He faces so many troubles and Swarna(Anisha Ambrose), who is a reporter stands with him.
Surya shares with Shivaji(Posani Krishna Murali), about his origin and the other details. What is the relationship between Surya and Peter who sacrificed his life for the liberation of Tamil people struck in Srilanka is to be watched in theaters only!
Roles and Performances:
Manchu Manoj: Manoj's action as a Tamil Tiger Commander is really good. His efforts in putting on so much weight for the real appeal is to be appreciated. Anisha Ambrose: Anisha has justified her role in the very less duration she had. Posani Krishna Murali: He lived up to expectations.
Ajay Andrews: 'Surprise' factor in the film.
This movie's focus is mainly to show the sufferings of the refugees, how difficult it is for them to migrate from one place to other to protect their lives. At the same time, the makers also tried to show that man's greed is the factor that results in wars, hatred, and terrorism.
The story narration is good in the first half but failed to engage in the same way in the second half. The 'boat voyage' could have been made better. Manoj Manchu should be appreciated for he dared to keep his image aside to act in a movie of this kind.
+ Crux of the story + Manchu Manoj + Victor's Role + Music
Final Verdict: Okkadu Migiladu- could have done it better.
