Ravi Teja’s Balupu released post summer this year and earned the good name of being a promising entertainer for what it offered- Comedy, Music, Star Value, Drama and Revenge. The film has been a great push for Gopichand Malineni who worked for the second time with Ravi Teja in this. Great Comedy, Ravi Teja’s energy levels, Shruthi Hassan‘s glamour and Anjali’s memorable performance made this a Box Office Hit.
Why is it so?
Ravi Teja’s film is mainly looked for comedy, entertainment and engaging performances by the lead actors- Balupu had it all. The comedy timing of Ravi Teja was made best use by the director and his scenes with Brahmanandam and Shruthi Hassan became highly appealing. Racy narration, funny references, and power packed fights added to the fun factor. The flashback episode shot in Vizag was highly convincing and the director did not lose the comedy element even in such serious episode. Anjali was given a significant role and she shined in it. The comedy tenure reached a crescendo when all the lead actors dance for “IPL theme song” generated nonstop laughter in theatres.
IQlikmovies feels Balupu is the mediocre film of the year for the few promising moments, despite following the regular Masala entertainer formula.
