Tollywood has always been keen on casting actresses from Bollywood or Kollywood but lately Tollywood is moving towards the silicon valley of India, Bangalore. Actors from Bangalore are inundating to become Tollywood actress which is nothing as compared to before. Tollywood has earlier seen many actresses like Pranitha Subhash, Anushka Shetty, Aditi Chengappa and many more have already hailed from this city and are considered among the top actresses in Tollywood.
So what is the stimulus for hunting new faces from Bangalore? According to the casting directors one of the main reasons is the audience. Audience is bored of seeing old faces and so is Tollywood. These days actors too have become demanding and they don’t want to work with the same faces repeatedly. The second dominating reason is most of the actresses are among the league of top actresses and almost all Telugu movies feature two heroines thus the leading actresses don’t want to work with other heroines in the same film as they will feel uncomfortable. And the third reason is the budget. It is obvious that actresses from big cities like Mumbai, etc will ask for additional money as compared to the actresses from Bangalore.Therefore, all the above reasons work in favour for actresses from Bangalore and most of them don’t throw tantrums on the sets like the leading actresses do.

In a recent movie, Doosukeltha, by Vishnu Manchu, actress Pranitha was featured and there are rumours that she is going to work in a project with Junior NTR. Atharintiki Dhaaredi, another astounding movie boosted her career to the highest. Similarly, Catherine, another actress from Bangalore was seemed to be playful and frivolous in Kannada movies and will soon be seen in movies and her succeeding release is Paisa by the well- known director Krishna Vamsi. Sharmila also made a commendable debut in the movie Kevvu Kekka. She is on the verge of signing her fourth telugu movie now. According to the film-makers in Tollywood, Bangalore actresses act less pricey and are comfortable in their working and thus have become favourites among the film- makers.
For the success of any movie it is very important to understand the taste of the audience. Audience tend to get bored easily with the same faces over and over again and they always want some newness in the movies that they watch. This leaves with no choice for the Tollywood film makers to explore for the new faces.
Indian cinema is huge and we have various cinemas like Bollywood (Hindi), Kollywood (Tamil), Tollywood (Telugu), Sandalwood (Kannada) and Malayalam. In all these cinemas there is a certain competitiveness which compels filmmakers to introduce new talents and faces (Actors or Actresses).
