The mighty Khan has been silently doing his bit to improve conditions of cancer patients across the city. The star has been funding the cancer wing of one of the top city hospitals. And now, the actor is also planning to open a cancer wing for underprivileged in Mumbai in the memory of his parents. Evidently, the actor doesn’t want anybody to suffer from the pain his parents suffered. The next on the list is – Salman Khan. We all know him as the most eligible bachelor of bollywood. As most of us read stories about his arrogance and rude behavior, we also come across stories of his charity and donation work. Nobody is unaware of his charity foundation – Being Human. The NGO is inclined towards social causes, majorly related to children. Apart from his NGO, he also does other types of donations and supports social causes. Be it blood donation drive, Cancer awareness or any charity event, he always makes it a point to participate. Where bollywood celebrities are doing their bit towards social causes, Telugu actors are no longer lacking behind.
Down in south we have some known faces getting into charity and donations. Actress Shriya Saran known for her performances down south is also active in charity related causes. She has started a welfare centre in Mumbai. There are 6 employees in the spa out of which 5 employees are completely blind and one employee is 40% blind. This definitely shows her inclination towards physically challenged people. She even started SRI SPANDANA for blind people to care for them. One of the most renowned Telugu actors, Rajnikanth makes sure to spend half of his income towards social causes. The god of south has seen lots of ups and downs while climbing the stairs of stardom. Hence, now when he is one of the wealthiest of the town, he makes sure to do his bit for others betterment.
While many of us only consider the star part of an actor, we often forget that they also have concerns about the society. We tend to believe what we see, but many a times our eyes miss a lot of aspects that actually defines a personality. This judgmental approach is detrimental in understanding an individual’s strengths and his best aspects. No doubt celebrities are well paid for what they do, but at the same time there are generous personalities who ensure that every underprivileged get a part from it.
