Chiranjeevi is making a come back to the silver screens with his 150th movie, Kathilantodu, after a long gap of 8 years. The movie was planned to start its shootings from March 2016, but got delayed because of Chiranjeevi’s daughter’s wedding and his shoulder surgery. But the movie will be starting its first roll up from 23rd July, 2016.
The shooting has begun
The movie is the remake of the Tamil blockbuster, Kaththi, that dealt with the serious issues of the farmers’ suicides and their degrading situation. The shooting is full fledge and Chiranjeevi doesn’t want any kind of delays. The first schedule of the shooting already took place at the Chanchalguda Central Jail in Hyderabad. 
Ram Charan is playing a vital role in his father’s comeback
There was so much suspense regarding Chiranjeevi’s 150th film. What will be the story? Who will be directing it and so on. After a lot of anticipation from the people and twists around, it has been revealed that Chiranjeevi’s 150th film will be a remake of Kaththi and the shooting has already begun in Hyderabad and the mega star has already joined the sets from the shooting’s first day.
Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi’s son is bankrolling the whole movie along with the Lyca Productions House. In fact, it has been learnt from the sources that Ram Charan is personally looking after entire work related to the production to make sure that his father’s re-entry into the Telegu film industry is a huge success story.
What is the cast?
As per the reports, the casts of the film include, Chiranjeevi, Ali, Kajal Aggarwal. The lead female protagonist of the movie is under progress, with names like Anushka Shetty, Nargris Fakhri and Deepika Padukone is coming up. There are speculations that even Ram Charan will play a small role in the movie with his father.
V.V Vinayak is the director of the movie, his second time with the mega star, Chiranjeevi. Writers Sai Madhav Burra and Abburi Ravi, the Paruchuri brothers, bagged the roles of the as the scriptwriters. It is Devi Shri Prasad, who has roped in the role as the composer of the upcoming movie that stars Mr. Chiranjeevi.
Is Deepika Padukone the female protagonist of the movie?
As per the reports from reliable sources, it is said that the search for the leading lady of the film have come to an end. The present day Bollywood sensation, Deepika Padukone is said to be finalized as the role of the heroine. There is no official confirmation of it, but sources claim that she has given her consent for the role and is yet to sign the agreement of the movie. If she plays the role, it will be Ms. Padukone’s first Telegu movie.
Surprise elements are given importance
It is said that Chiranjeevi will be featured in dual roles in the movie. He will be displaying a handlebar moustache in one of the characters. The other character role’s looks and styling have not been disclosed as yet, in order to create the suspense among the people. The surprise elements are given importance all the more because it will be Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie and that too after a gap of 8 long years. Kathilantodu is eagerly been awaited for release by the fans.
