Telugu cinema have seen more success in remakes in this season than ever before. Starting from Allu Arjun’s ABCD which is remake from a Malayalam movie or the outstanding success of Samantha’s Oh Baby which is remade from a Korean movie. Seeing the success run of remake concepts in Telugu movies actors, producers and directors all are jumping to the opportunity to get their smell of success. Latest to make the entry into remake is Telugu movie Valmiki. Varun Tej Valmiki movie will be seen on Telugu movie theaters on 20th of September. But just few hours before its release due to some scandal with name of the movie it had to renamed as Gaddalakonda Ganesh

Gaddalakonda Ganesh(Valmiki) Telugu cinema is a remake of a critically acclaimed Tamil movie Jigarthanada. Varun Tej was super excited to essay the character of Bobby Simha’s as local ruthless goon. The actor in the Tamil version of the movie also won National award for the same Although Varun Tej looks nothing like a rugged goon image, but it will be a break for him to from playing the next door image characters in Telugu cinema. Varun Tej expressed that he had watched Jigarthanda four times, never ever believing that the movie could be remade in Telugu, considering only small number of audience has watched the Tamil version from Telugu movie belt.
Gaddalakonda Ganesh (Valmiki) movie different from Jigarthanda
Although it is remake of the popular Tamil version which was critical also well appreciated still there are some tweaks made in the plot to make it relatable to Telugu movie audience. As in location wise the Tamil version Jigarthanda had most of their shooting done in Madurai while in Valmiki which is renamed as Gaddalakonda Ganesh Telugu movie is done in an artificial village named as Goddalakonda. The Telugu actor Varun Tej even made it clear that he will be seen taking the parts of Bobby Simha’s portrayal but will show his own mannerism.
Valmiki Telugu movie Pooja Hedge cameo
Just like the Tamil version of the movie had Vijay Sethupathi , here in Gaddalakonda Ganesh movie Pooja Hedge also dones small but important cameo role. The Tamil movie Jigarthanda Bobby Simha had no baggage was able to express the ruthless gone character in full totality, but here it cannot be done. Valmiki Director Harish was of the view that as Varun Tej had been donning the good boy characters for so long, audience may feel disconnected to him if there is not such past story as to why is so bad. Thus, the character of Pooja hedge is introduced as Varun Tej’s past. To show how the character essayed by Varun Tej became so bad from being a good guy.

In Valmiki Telugu movie, people can see a remake, but there are certain elements which will be totally unique to the Telugu audience only. Secondly, the good boy image of Varun Tej will be broken, so it is sight which the Telugu movie lovers will be keen to watch. Lastly, mostly Telugu movies portray actors as Good guys or strong positive characters, but here people will get to see the shades of goon’s character and hopefully feel for the character too.
