Tollywood actors and their dark roles

The negative side of a film seems to be more attractive now. Because famed Tollywood actors are now embracing dark roles. Here are some actors with her negative roles.

SJ Suryah in Spyder – The actor seems to have been the talk of the industry with his enhancing performance in this movie. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the actor plays the role of a menacing villain in the movie. His enrapturing backstory in the film and the way he portrays the evil Bhairavudu has sure caught each of our minds and hearts. So much so and we may even have forgotten to look up to the great good Shiva played by Mahesh Babu.

Sources say that if he was not subdued in the second part after interval, he may been become one of the most memorable villains of the industry such was his characterisation of the role. When asked about his negative role in the movie, Suryah claimed that he did not choose scripts, they automatically come to him. And he has always wanted to play such roles.

However, Suryah seems to be not the only one with such aspirations. Actors like NTR Jr., Jagapathi Babu, Rana Daggubati have also embraced dark roles and have acclaimed high performance in those movies.

NTR Jr in Jai Lava Kusa –  Although playing three roles in the movie, NTR Jr. has amazed us being both a hero and a villain. As the story talks about three brothers Jai, Lava and Kush, one being the villain, other being a peusdo villain and the middle one being the hero, NTR Jr. has both his performance in all the three roles.

Idolising Ravana of Ramayana as Jai, NTR Jr. has brought us all to our edges of the seat waiting to see when will the demon burst and kill his brothers. And when the film makes a turn as Kush dashes for only money and not his family, we were amazed how easily the actor changed his perception from the villain to the menace to being the hearo of the story.

The actor claimed that he had been both excited and nervous about playing the dark character. He claimed that this negative role has allowed him to explore the dark side which had no boundaries like the roles of the hero. Evil had no end and spread much faster than positivity. Such works are also challenging that brings on the attraction to the villain.

Jagapathi Babu in Legend – It is claimed that this actor is known for his dark roles than his failed positive ones. This senior actor is acclaimed as the famous villain of the Tollywood industry. Although the actor claims that his turn in his career was mostly a necessity for him.

The actor has again joined hands with Legend’s director Boyapati Srinu for a second film and obviously for a villain role. The hero and the lead actor of this movie is Bellamkonda Srinivas and will be produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy. The producer said that this movie will open up more fame and fans followers for the actor.

Rana Daggubati in Bahubali – Which one of us has not clapped the performance of the treacherous villain Bhallaldeva? The mean brother of Bahubali who kills his own blood to become the king and attains pleasures in torturing his brother’s wife has surely brought us to certainly dislike the character, so much so that we are highly satisfied when the hero finally kills the long lasting villain.

Even his latest film Nene Raju Nene Mantri talks of a dark role of how a common man turns negative to get his desires. When asked, the actor said he is now called as the greatest villain of the film industry. He was even awarded the prize of the Best Actor In Negative Role at IIFA Awards.
