2019 has not been a very happy year for the Telugu film industry as the number of blockbuster movies have been much less as compared to the previous year’s statistics. The latest movie Maharshi has reversed this trend and is going on to become the top Telugu grosser of 2019.
25th film from Mahesh babu – Maharshi which was released on the 9th of may had entered into the 100 cr club in just 4 days after its release. It has evoked a great response from movie lovers all over. The movie had a share of 50 cr in the opening weekend in the Telugu states.
Mahesh Babu took to Instagram to thank the people for their love and support for the movie. He shared a picture and described how he was thankful to the people and also to the director of the movie.
The movie has the actors Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in the lead roles. The movie has been rated 4 stars on BookmyShow. It has been directed by Vamsi Paidipally. The production of the movie has been done by Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt and Prasad V. The music composition of the movie has been done by Devi Sri Prasad. The cinematography was done by K.U. Mohanan and editing was done by Praveen K.L. The movie which has a running time of 176 minutes was made with a budget of 100 crores. Apart from the leads, the movie also has other prominent actors including Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Meenakshi Dixit, Ananya, Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani,Vennela Kishore and many more. The lyrics for the music were written by Sri Mani and the music was released by Aditya Music company.
The movie received a rating of three out of five stars by the Times of India. The review of the movie was that even though it may not be entertaining all through, the heart of the movie is in the right place.
The movie continues to have a good run and the movie is specially a treat for the Mahesh Babu fans.
