Ninne Premista story at a glance

Kalyan (Srikanth) and his friend cum assistant (Rajendra Prasad) are bank employees transferred to an interior village in Konaseema. He meets a village belle, Meghamala (Soundarya) there who helps him in all sorts of ways. Kalyan falls for her and send his parents to ask for her hand. In a shocking twist, Meghamala reveals that she is not interested in marriage but admires him. Later it is revealed that there is Srinivas (Nagarjuna) who is engaged to Megahamala but dies in an accident. It is revealed that Meghamala admires Kalyan due to a reason connected with Srinivas. What is it? And how the story ends has to be watched on big screen.

    The movie carried enough buzz before the movie release and the openings are good. However, the audience could not receive the over dose of sentiment and slow paced narration and finally the movie ended up as a flop.
  • Highlights

    • RR Shinde, the director of the film made his directorial debut with it. He is aged 50 when it happened. He has 26 years experience as Assistant director in TFI earlier.
    • This is the first time Trivikram penned dialogues for a Nagarjuna film. The later was very impressed and gave him a chance in Manmadhudu. 
  • Sidelights

    • Ninne Premista is a remake of the 1999 Superhit Tamil film Nee Varuvai Ena which starred Parthiban and Devayani in lead roles. Ajith was seen in Nagarjuna’s role.
