Kubusam story at a glance

Hari Prasad (Giri) is a medico, who completes his MBBS with scholarship. As gratitude he wants to serve the poor in a remote village even though he gets a fancy job in a corporate hospital. He leaves his medico girl friend Seema (Swapna) and moves to village in Telangana region. The village will be under the control of rich landlords, the Government officials and police also support landlords. Hari Prasad gets outraged by discrimination and in this process meets Sivaram (Srihari). Fumed by the landlord’s intolerance, Hari Prasad joins Naxalite group and changes his name as Shankaranna. Where does this leads to and will he solve the problems of poor villagers who will be treated as slaves forms the rest of the story.

    • 10 years of its release, the makers arranged a special screening of the film on August 5th 2012 in Prasad Labs.
    • Political leaders K. T. Rama Rao, B. Daattatreya, filmmakers Tammareddy, actor Srihari attended this special screening.
    • After the special screening, the makers of the film said that, Srihari financially helped them as they faced problems in releasing the movie.
    • One of the makers also said, they did not have enough contacts to send the movie and Palle Kanniru Pedutundo song for National level. He deeply regretted for this.
