Kishore (Srinivas Avasarala) is a wannabe filmmaker who is on the lookout for a fresh new love story. He runs into a Communications professor Apparao Aggarwal (Shayaji Shinde) during a morning jog and comes to know about the love story of his students, Shyam (Varun Sandesh) and Anshu (Sanchitha Padukone).

Varun Sandesh's acting is getting monotonous. Audience will not stand it any longer. He looks badly out of shape and also should take care of his hair. Katherine Tresa looked very hot in the movie and she is here to stay. Sanchita Padukone is terrible and does not have it in her to make it to the big league. The guy who acted as Varun Sandesh's friend is good. Vennela Kishore managed few laughs in his little cameo.

National award winner Neelakanta's last outing Virodhi yielded him good critical acclaim. He changed gears and focused on commercial aspects to bag success at the box office. But this is certainly not the forte of Neelakanta. There are several loose ends in the story due to which audience could not connect to the movie. Also there are several illogical scenes which test the patience of the audience. All these added up slow down the pace of the movie very much.

Good music always breathes in life in to romantic entertainers. Sadly the music is a big letdown for the movie. All the songs are poorly picturized and their placement is too bad.

Ranganath Gogineni's cinematography is par below the standards. Nagi Reddy's editing could have been a lot better. Dialogues are very bad.

Chammak Challo belongs to that breed of movies in which everything goes wrong right from the start to end. Certainly, not a film expected from Neelakanta. You can give it a miss!
