You can write volumes about a great bowler…

You can write volumes about a great batsman…

But, if you have to write about a great all-rounder???

We are not sure how many volumes of volumes it would take, but, we can only tell you – it would be like describing our Venkatesh Daggubati popularly known as Victory Venkatesh!

It is needless to cry “he’s a great actor of recent times” because even a toddler should know it or otherwise, his 7 Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards and 5 Filmfare Awards should speak for him! But, what cannot be left out mentioning is – he is not a mass hero, he’s not a class hero – he is everyone’s hero!

Born and brought up in Chennai, this MBA graduate from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, USA was an actor by chance. He actually wanted get in to production once he was back from the U.S but time had something else written for him! He had a blazing start with his debut film Kaliyuga Pandavulu (1986) which won him a Nandi award for the Best Male debut. But, he didn’t veer away from experimenting – Srinivasa Kalyanam, Swarnakamalam, Dharma Chakram, Satruvu, Ganesh and interestingly this list goes on for Venky. The most quirky fact is that, in a career span of about 27yrs, Venky has the highest success ratio with remakes [Chanti, Chinarayudu, Sundara Kanda, Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, Surya Vamsam, Raja, Seenu, Sankranthi et al.] “I like remakes. You’ll know the goods and bads of the story which you can work out and present a better film to your audience” says Venkatesh - Well, “pointey!”

But when we say time, destiny etc, we know are imitating a bit of himbut that is only acknowledging the 'Spiritual and grounded' Venkatesh in him. Given his stardom and the distance he has come up in the world, he is actually guiding us to the ultimate truth of life – spirituality! That’s why his persona radiates even in the sets – he is simple, serene and the ultimate cool head to find on the location. Well, he is the true setter guiding this generation about the significance of multi-starrers! And critics – you can never catch him and most importantly cannot typecast him because he’s like the sky!

Well, did you know??

A.R. Rahman made his Telugu debut with Super Police in 1994 and Venkatesh made his Bollywood debut with Taqdeerwaala (1995), the remake of S.V. Krishna Reddy’s Yamaleela (1994)!

And today on the eve of his magical birthday ‘13.12.13’, iQlikmovies wishes him a Happy Birthday and long life!
