Director Vamsy’s Manchu Pallaki (1982) gave him the right break as an actor, but his comedy element was yet to be unleashed by then.

His next crucial appearance was in Chiranjeevi starrer Challenge (1984) where he plays an important role as the associate to the Hero. Vamsy took the fortunate chance to explore the comedy element from Rajendra Prasad with Ladies Tailor next! He became like a ray of hope for upcoming film directors of late 80s such as Relangi Narasimha Rao and EVV Satyanarayana. Telugu Audience can never forget films like Edurinti Mogudu Pakkinti Pellam, Parugo Parugu, Golmaal Govindam which came from Rajendra Prasad and Relangi Narasimha Rao combination. When it comes to his association with EVV, Aa Okkati Adakku is one classic example of how well the duo could manage to generate non-stop laughter!
