Telugu films are going to Bollywood. The big leaguers are spending crore’s to remake Telugu movies in Hindi. And why not? If you go by the collections, Telugu remakes have been some of the biggest money spinners at the box-office. Pokiri, Kick, Vikramarkudu, Ready and so on have all been super hits.
It doesn’t stop here. The yet to be released Jr.NTR starrer Ramayya Vastavayya will also be heading to Bollywood. This was even confirmed by the movie director Harish Shankar. “I am getting offers from Bollywood; they are asking me to remake my films in Hindi. Right now I am busy with Telugu films, but if I happen to do a Bollywood film, I will remake Ramayya Vastavayya, as the story is apt for Hindi…” says Harish Shankar.
Bollywood filmmakers have already started preparations to remake Attarintiki Daredi. If Ramayya Vastavayya also sets the cash registers ringing, then it is guaranteed that Harish Shankar will remake this film in Hindi. Looks like there will be a big line of B-Towner’s for Telugu film remake rights.
